Thimbles and Things by TJ Lane
by DIANA LAMBDIN MEYER
Family members who work together may not always have a good experience, but in the case of silversmith Tommie Jane (TJ) Lane and her daughter, Cynthia Brammier, the result it pure art. For quilters, their creative enterprise has generated an exclusive collection of thimbles and sewing-related jewelry that is as functional as it is beautiful.
From Ordinary to Extraordinary with Dimensional Appliqué
by NANCY VASILCHIK
Would you like to add some zing to your appliqué patterns? Traditional designs can be transformed into unique dimensional shapes in just a few easy steps!
The transformation works best with large simple images. The project featured consists of flowers and leaves and is shown two ways—flat and dimensional. Patterns for both are provided in the tear-out section.
