Rose Wreath
By Jennifer Rounds
Quilted by Catherine Comyns

Although it looks challenging, this wall hanging is surprisingly easy to assemble. Jennifer took her inspiration from the paintings of Pierre-Joseph Redouté, a preeminent nineteenth-century botanical artist who documented Empress Josephine Bonaparte's Malmaison rose garden in Les Roses. Refer to the photo to re-create the project as Jennifer made it, or design your own rose wreath with the pattern pieces—Jennifer was faithful to Redouté's color choices, but her roses bloomed where they willed!
